| Service Description: | Our nursery comprises two large indoor areas and two large outside play areas.
Queen Mary Avenue Nursery School is a happy, nurturing environment filled with pupils and staff who are warm, friendly and enthusiastic. Positive relationships are at the heart of what we do and we work very hard to support the pupils in developing their unique personalities and talents.
We work closely with our families and the wider community to give the children the very best start possible. We pride ourselves on the pastoral provision on offer; our caring and dedicated team strive to ensure that all pupils become the best they can possibly be.
We recognise that children learn best when they are working in a calm, safe environment, taking part in learning tasks which are memorable and enjoyable. We therefore offer a broad and balanced curriculum, enhanced by a variety of theme days, trips and visitors. We also provide a wide range of clubs and enrichment opportunities.
Applications to the Nursery are dealt with the school directly and should be made when children are between 2 and 2 ½ years old ready for them to start when they are 3 years old.
All children are entitled to 15 hours of nursery education the term after their third birthday. Some parents may be entitled to a further 15 hours extended funding if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Session times are as follows:
• Morning session - 8:45am - 11:45am
• Afternoon session - 12:15pm - 3:15pm
• Full day session - 8:45am - 3:15pm
Top up sessions are also available at a charge of £15 per 3-hour session, subject to availability.
